Why you need to build a squad

In a 25-year study, psychologist and Harvard faculty member David McClelland found that for achievement-motivated people, your reference group can determine 95% of your success or failure. Your reference group is made up of the people with whom you habitually associate and identify. ⁠

As a reader of this blog, you're very likely a woman contemplating a side hustle, transitioning to self-employment, growing an existing business, or building your empire. ⁠For entrepreneurs–especially women–having a community of folks who can relate to, validate, and CELEBRATE your journey is a necessity.

Consider this your invitation to join our private community created with the goal of bringing together a squad of supportive entrepreneurs that you can connect with often, even if virtually.⁠

This group was created as a space for women business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to connect, seek advice, and support each other. In our first three weeks we've grown to three dozen members representing nine states plus the District of Columbia (a.k.a. DC).

Sound appealing? Given all the other things on your to do list, I know how it can go… “hmmm… that sounds interesting, I'll have to remember to check it out later.” To encourage you to take that step now, here's a little incentive to do so now. On August 15, I'll be gifting an assortment of my favorite books and other fun items relevant to the group's focus to randomly selected members. Every member's name will be entered into the drawing.
